This is also referred recently as Gluconacetobacter and is recommended as biofertilizer mainly for sugarcane. Similar to Azospirillum it is capable of fixing atmospheric nitrogen, but it enters the plant through the root and fixes nitrogen in the leaves and stem of sugarcane.

ROM – Gluconacetobacter has a bacterial count of 2x109 / gm / ml and can be used for sugarcane, sugar beet and maize.

Dosage: Five kg / 500 ml per acre in adequate quantity of water or applied along with well decomposed organic manure or through the drip irrigation system.
